In the beginning, Nazerit was a young girl with a high school dream of becoming a writer. This dream began in English class at Maru-A-Pula Secondary School, Gaborone Botswana.

After that, she was caught up in a life of motherhood and an unfinished degree while she struggled to fit in to a traditional life she didn’t believe in.

Then she broke free, overcoming obstacles firmly entrenched in her family life. Nazerit rebelled and chose a life of her own. It wasn’t easy. The road to her independence was filled with loss and loneliness, a struggle for money to raise her children while second-guessing every decision she made. Leaving her old life behind, she escaped with her children, to Sydney, Australia to become a pastry chef.

She returned to her birth country South Africa, where she juggled two jobs and a business at home. Rising to the highest ranks of her career as a Chef Pâtissier, Nazerit had the freedom and independence she fought for. When she met the man who would later become her husband, he encouraged her to write, making her debut novel a reality.

A young woman fights for love and acceptance in an unjust world.

When Samara violates sacred religious and traditional laws in a desperate bid for love and acceptance, she’s forced to make a choice. Will she stay in her abusive family home, or attempt escaping to build a new future for herself?

A humiliating mistake, a violent father, and a cruel mother strip Samara of her self-worth. When introduced to Mustapha, Samara’s father hurriedly accepts a proposal for his daughter in the hope that it restores his image within the community.

Caught in a whirlwind romance, Samara unexpectedly falls for Mustapha, a man she barely knows. Thrilled to finally have a chance at love, Samara struggles to balance the demands of her turbulent romantic life whilst maintaining her studies.

Set in Gaborone, Botswana, this gripping romance novel deals with the heart-breaking journey of a young lady chasing love and acceptance in a world that seems set against her finding either.
