About the author: Herman Singh
Herman is a well recognized and accomplished business executive who is globally sought after as a keynote speaker in the fields of digital transformation, disruption, strategy, innovation and startups as well as being a strategy and business leadership facilitator. He is an engineer by training but has largely been a business executive and strategic and technology advisor on the boards of many listed firms. He has served on over 20 boards during his career. He wrote his fourth year exams for his engineering degree at the age of 19 and graduated with his MBA with distinction as well as graduate of the year, a difficult task in Apartheid South Africa.
Herman has held academic posts in parallel with his professional career for 30 years, including two associate professorships at five top international business schools. He has co-authored three editions of the best selling text book in the field of Operations Management which has been in continuous print for over 25 years.
Herman has been involved in leading large scale business transformations in Engineering, Banking and Telecommunication firms both as a Chief Executive or Digital Officer and at Board level. He has served on the boards of many e Commerce startup firms in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, some of whom have achieved Billion Dollar valuations. Today he is the CEO of his own Business, Future Advisory, which is a digital transformation advisory firm operating globally.
Herman is married with four children and is an avid cyclist and traveler. He resides and commutes between Johannesburg and Dubai and has worked in over 40 cities world wide.
