About the authors
Chanel is a world explorer, travel photographer, filmmaker, blogger, and passionate dog lover. Having sold (almost) all her belongings and quit her Creative Director job in advertising with a one-way-ticket to see the world, her love for dogs brought her (together with Stevo) to a volunteering gig working alongside Michele and Laura where the concept of the book was born. Today Chanel works as a nomadic travel photographer and filmmaker, dreaming of the day she settles down to have her own pooch (again).

Laura Di Marco
Laura is a dog and cat trainer, and animal behaviorist. She is an expert in the animal-human relationship, and considers herself lucky as she was born and raised in contact with semi-wild cats and packs of free dogs, learning their language directly from them. Laura has thus developed a form of communication and relationship with animals based on trust – if they trust us, they will be more willing to open up and show us a much clearer picture of their problems. Laura has always been involved in solving behavioral problems, relationship problems, and is constantly growing her knowledge base to understand intra- and interspecific cohabitation, as well as in helping animals in difficulty. Today she collaborates with various non-profit animal organizations and training centers, and teaches dog and cat behavior.
Michele is an author, dog trainer, and animal behaviorist who has traveled around the world to study, understand and live the dog’s world. Experimenting with various methods and techniques, he came to the conclusion that only the development of a great sensitivity and passion can make us understand the real needs of our fantastic friends, and only if we are taking care of these needs, can we have a serene, balanced, and obedient dog, happy to be part of our family, and happy to act in the appropriate manner. For Michele it is important not only to dedicate time to dogs, but also to make them feel free to express themselves, allowing them to have an active role in family life, thereby feeling an integral part of it. Today he is a teacher at one of the most prestigious training schools in Milan, Italy, a passionate writer, and animal behaviorist.
